Vivi Croc by Jellycat - No Crocodile Tears!

We are pleased to welcome the Vivi line of stuffed animals by Jellycat to our store.  Let's start with the name - perhaps Vivi is short for vibrant which means relatively high on the scale of brightness.  This certainly does describe to colors of the line - absolutely bright and cheerful.  I think of the character Vivi from the book and movie "The Ya-Ya Sisterhood" - a head strong, colorful character that could have been the inspiration for the line of plush stuffed animals for Jellycat.

The first animal in the collection I want to describe to you is the Vivi Croc.  He is a bright green little guy that stands about 12" tall if held up.  His color is somewhere between the shades of lime and grass green - not too obnoxious - but he certainly does stand out in a crowd.  His body is smooth, soft with a small about of plush - it almost looks like felted wool.  Underneath his mouth and his entire tail is made of a contrasting knitted fabric which is just as soft, but gives it a nice texture and a bit marl look.  Just perfect!  The ends of the feet and arms have small plastic beads inside to give it some weight.  This weighting and his little tail that sticks out keeps him sitting up - easy to put him on display and will surely be a stand out!  Embroidered nostrils and plastic eyes round out his sweet and simple face.  No big crocodile teeth showing, only a simple grin.
