Summertime Picnics - Great Fun for Kids!

A summer just isn't a summer without at least one picnic with your kids.  Whether in your backyard, at a park or at a friend's house, it will be lots of fun.  Find and old blanket, a big beach towel, an old table cloths, sheet, quilt or anything to spread on the ground.  Pack a lunch of neat finger foods, bring some outdoor toys such as a ball or frisbee and have fun.  Our favorite picnic spot with our kids was a park next to the zoo.  There were lots of fields to run around in, a fabulous playground, a lake nearby with a beach, the free zoo and lots more.  The park has my favorite slide of all times.  It is "Old Woman in a Shoe" slide that the art cart comes every year to paint with creative themes every year.  A unique structure that makes this park memorable for years to come.
