Old-Fashioned Outdoor Games

Forget the big inflatable bouncey houses and whatever you can rent to put up in your yard or neighborhood park to entertain kids and adults at picnics, parties, reunions or any type of get togethers.  You can have tons of fun with just some simple items - sacks, eggs, water balloons, ropes, hula hoops and more.  Better yet - these games are not for just kids - adults will have just as much fun if not more.  We had a neighborhood party years back, and the couples had a wheelbarrow race - which just takes just muscle power.  My husband was so determined to win that I literally had to run to keep up with him and not let go of his legs.  I never knew he could go so fast on his arms.

Try some good old fashioned games such as a sack race, a 3 legged race, a wheelbarrow race, an egg toss, a water balloon toss, bean bag toss, hula hoop contest and I am sure there are many more that I just can't think of now.  We even had a lawn tractor race up the street among the Dads one neighborhood part.
