J is for Jump Rope!

Good old-fashioned jump rope or some may call it skipping rope - whatever the name - it is a timeless, simple and fun outdoor activity for kids. I rope with 2 handles - that is all it is. Girls fuss over the handles - pretty pink, glittery, shiny, painted, decorated - customize to your kids liking. Let the games begin! There are songs to be sung, games to play, activities to plan and competitions to start. Do you like to jump in place? or perhaps you like to skip along as you go to school, the park or a friends house. How many jumps could you make in a row without stopping? Double Dutch and Chinese Jump Rope was always a fun playground activity.
